2012/08/05, Immediate Opening for Precinct Captains and Precinct Workers
August 5th 2012
Immediate Opening for registered Republicans who are politically motivated, self-starters, and likes to meet Republicans. This is your chance to join the San Clemente Precinct Operation and to work with other volunteers. This is a rare opportunity to become a Community Organizer, (who know where that could lead).
Duties
Right Now. Canvass your precinct by 1) finding out which Republicans are not registered in your precinct and get them registered, 2) urge Republicans to become Vote-by-Mail voters, 3) visit low propensity voter, (those who do not vote a lot) to see what you may do to encourage them to vote, 4) recruit volunteer for the OCGOP, phone callers and other precinct work, and 5) establish a relationship with the Republicans in your precinct, get to know them and them to know you.
Training:
Right Now, I’ll provide the training to get you started. You will develop your own style of contacting and discussing as you do your precinct canvassing. It is not rocket science but it does take a little instruction.
After you canvass five to ten households, you will have learned 90% of what you need to know about canvassing.
Materials:
Right Now, I’ll provide the Precinct Walk list with the entire registered voter in your precinct by street and house number. The list will have the names, party affiliation, age, voting record, sex, phone number and email address. This is all public information obtained from the Register of Voter’s registration forms.
I’ll provide precinct maps of your precinct.
Rewards.
Only the satisfaction that you have greatly contributed to the Grass Roots efforts to get Republicans elected to office.
Future Work.
Participate in the Get out the Vote in the General Election in November.
